What the days held

Lives remembered, counted in the days they lived. Strangers who noticed. Small reminders for the week ahead.

A highway closed on their wedding day. Strangers got them there.

A highway closed on their wedding day. Strangers got them there.

A crash closed the only highway to their wedding in the Idaho mountains, with a four-hour wait. An elk hunter on his way home and a woman with an ATV guided the bride and groom 16 miles around it. They made it.

The guests saw a wedding. The couple will remember who carried them to it.

He scored Gandhi, Groundhog Day and Dangerous Liaisons. If you have ever watched a whale surface or a snow leopard cross a ridge with David Attenborough, you heard him: The Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Frozen Planet.

He spent his days helping the rest of us look.

An 18-year-old gave a stranger the shoes off his own feet.

Jordan, 18, saw an 80-year-old man with a walker struggling across a busy road in Arizona, his shoes barely holding together. He gave him the slides off his own feet. Then he helped him pick up his prescription, bought him his favorite candy, and followed his ride home to make sure he got inside.

He found out later the man had lost his wife two weeks before.

“Actually helping someone with a real problem they actually have.”qMARVEL 5:6
